About The Position

The Healthcare Resort of Topeka is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for executing daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance schedules, completing urgent work order repairs, and coordinating services with other departments. The technician will also handle resident and family requests, ensuring the facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience. The position requires following established safety precautions and performing routine maintenance and repairs on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.

Requirements

Must demonstrate care for others and ability to communicate with staff and residents in a professional, but compassionate manner.
Be detail-oriented to ensure our facility remains presentable and sanitary.
Have working knowledge of housekeep and maintenance functions.
Must have experience in repairing drywall, paint, stain, and refinish.

Responsibilities

Carrying out Daily/Weekly Cleaning and Maintenance Schedules.
Completing urgent work order repairs as needs.
Coordinating services with corresponding departments in order to perform routine cleaning and maintenance issues.
Handling resident and family requests.
Ensure that the facility and its equipment is properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
