About The Position

The Hotel Maintenance Staff is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel. This position helps ensure guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems are safe, functional, and well maintained. The Maintenance Staff responds to work orders and guest requests, troubleshoots maintenance issues, and supports the overall appearance and operation of the property.

Requirements

  • Previous hotel, commercial, residential, or general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, PTAC units, drywall, and general repairs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a TEAM.
  • Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to respond to maintenance emergencies when required.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb, push, and pull as required.
  • Ability to work in tight or confined spaces when necessary.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in various weather conditions as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
  • Respond promptly to guest room work orders and maintenance requests.
  • Troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, PTAC, and building issues.
  • Complete routine and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and equipment for maintenance needs.
  • Assist with repairs to drywall, doors, fixtures, furniture, and other hotel property.
  • Help maintain the exterior of the building, grounds, and property appearance.
  • Maintain and organize maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Report major repairs, safety concerns, or equipment issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed.
  • Follow all hotel safety, security, and maintenance procedures.
  • Work closely with Housekeeping and other departments to address property needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
