About The Position

The System Owner / Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the overall health and reliability of the equipment within their assigned system. This role involves developing, monitoring, and revising the Maintenance Strategy for their systems, as well as creating and managing system budgets. The System Owner will collaborate closely with all departments to identify and implement necessary actions. This position will be filled at a level 4 or 5 based on experience.

Requirements

  • Lockout Tagout Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review Work Orders daily and communicate with the planner if any changes are needed.
  • Perform physical walk-downs of the system at a minimum once a week.
  • Develop, monitor, and revise the maintenance strategy for the system through fleet-wide initiatives and established processes, including approval through the plant review board (PRB) and Maintenance Strategy Governance process.
  • Administer the work order management system by prioritizing work orders, providing detailed work scopes, and coordinating the execution of the weekly work plan.
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings and present justification for work on the system.
  • Identify and maintain O&M budget requirements for the system.
  • Monitor financial spending on the system to accurately project monthly budgets.
  • Track and provide input to O&M and Capital budget development, including monthly projections for contractor labor, services, material, parts, and equipment needs while managing costs.
  • Balance budget and reliability needs by approving/disapproving or rescheduling work orders.
  • Optimize Warehouse inventory for the System.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to maintenance personnel, including OEM specs, manuals, and procedures, for equipment maintenance.
  • Establish working relationships with key vendors and SCS personnel, gather and analyze acceptance data on new/rebuilt equipment, and stay informed of current technology.
  • Execute major maintenance or replacement activities by providing technical direction and coordination of maintenance crews and/or contractor personnel, monitoring quality, cost, and adherence to specifications and procedures.
  • Work nights, weekends and/or holidays as necessary.
  • Be responsible for On-Call Duties.
