About The Position

The Maintenance Refrigeration Specialist supports the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of chiller, HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems across the Complex. This role provides technical support, coordinates maintenance work, oversees contractors, and ensures compliance with company, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience supporting industrial HVAC or chiller systems
  • Working knowledge of SAP maintenance processes
  • The ability to coordinate field work in an industrial operating environment

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certification in HVAC, industrial refrigeration, or related mechanical systems
  • Refrigerant management experience
  • Contractor oversight experience
  • Experience developing preventive maintenance plans, job packages, or service budgets

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe work practices, environmental compliance, and accident prevention for HVAC, chiller, refrigeration, and related work.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for HVAC, chiller, refrigeration, and related air systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, support reliability improvements, and help reduce repeat failures and unplanned downtime.
  • Maintain SAP asset data, maintenance records, work orders, preventive maintenance plans, and equipment documentation.
  • Develop and improve preventive maintenance strategies, job plans, and work packages.
  • Coordinate planned, preventive, corrective, and outage-related maintenance work, including materials, permits, contractors, and field execution.
  • Support procurement, budgeting, cost tracking, contractor services, repair parts, invoices, and annual service planning.
  • Monitor equipment performance, reliability trends, maintenance costs, and refrigerant inventory to support repair, replacement, and improvement decisions.
  • Oversee contractor work to ensure safety, quality, productivity, schedule compliance, and adherence to company standards.
  • Support installation, repair, replacement, commissioning, startup, and improvement projects for HVAC, chiller, refrigeration, and related systems.
  • Follow company policies, Mechanical Integrity requirements, Management of Change processes, environmental regulations, refrigerant management standards, and Work Management processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in industrial refrigeration, HVAC, and cooling systems.
