About The Position
The Zone Maintenance Specialist II is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all campus facilities, including buildings, grounds, and utility systems. This encompasses tasks such as maintaining lights, ceilings, doors, restrooms, and HVAC equipment. A key aspect of this role involves mentoring new employees by sharing skills, knowledge, and teaching proper safety techniques and procedures. Given that this position is often the first point of contact, superior communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with all members of the campus community, including staff, faculty, administration, students, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
