About The Position

Arlington Properties is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Service Technician to help maintain apartments and property grounds so residents feel at home. The role involves preparing vacant apartments for new residents, responding to work orders, completing general repairs, maintaining common areas and amenities, and supporting preventative maintenance and inspections. Technicians may also assist with seasonal tasks and respond to emergency maintenance needs. The company provides training, support, tools, and resources for the work.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC.
Proficiency in at least one major trade area.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all conditions.
Excellent communication and professionalism with residents and team members.
Availability for flexible schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Nice To Haves

EPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
Handle work orders with skill and urgency.
Perform general maintenance, including light plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC support, and appliance repair.
Keep grounds and common areas clean and inviting.
Support preventative maintenance and inspections.
Assist with snow removal, pool upkeep, and seasonal tasks.
Remain alert and on-call for emergency maintenance needs.
Work safely and efficiently.
