About The Position

The Community at Rockhill, a Grace Inspired Living community in Sellersville, PA, is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance / Security Technician to ensure the safety and security of residents, employees, and the facility. This role involves monitoring security, responding to alarms, performing light maintenance, and assisting residents. The community's mission is to enhance the lives of older adults in a supportive setting that values residents, employees, volunteers, and families, guided by God’s love.

Requirements

High School diploma and/or equivalent
6 months previous security experience
Valid PA Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

1 year previous security experience in a retirement community or similar

Responsibilities

Make rounds of the facility insuring all doors and windows are secure.
Monitor camera activity.
Direct visitors to their desired location.
Record routine activities on the departmental log.
Report any unusual occurrences to the supervisor.
Serve as the contact person to call the police.
Diffuse situations that may arise so as not to escalate and become uncontrolled.
Serve as property contact person for all environmental services issues.
Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled by supervisor.
Shovel and salt main entrances and sidewalks after snow.
Perform daily tasks such as picking up trash and turning off/on lights.
Assist residents with light maintenance requests (e.g., clogged toilet, light bulb replacement).
Maintain high standards by picking up trash, ensuring lights are functioning, and keeping vehicles clean.
Respond to all alarms (medical or fire) and assist with fire and emergency evacuation drills.
Complete all necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
Perform routine duties including package deliveries, bulb replacements, work orders, and miscellaneous duties.
Properly maintain and store all tools and equipment and keep the workshop clean and orderly.
Follow all department policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Attend all departmental meetings and required facility in-services.
Assume other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed by the on-call person or Manager of Maintenance.
