Requirements
- At least 18 years old with three years of high school completed
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
Nice To Haves
- Gardening, landscaping, or outdoor work experience preferred
- Valid Indiana Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Support the daily care and maintenance of Fort Wayne's parks by assisting with horticulture and grounds work in a seasonal, outdoor role.
- Assist with mowing, trimming, mulching, pruning, planting, and weeding
- Support greenhouse tasks and work with horticulture crews as assigned
- Perform general grounds work, litter removal, and basic janitorial upkeep
- Safely operate and maintain tools, equipment, and City vehicles
- Follow City safety policies and complete basic work records
