About The Position
Support daily operations at the Headwaters Ice Rink by helping maintain the ice, assist guests, and keep the facility safe, welcoming, and ready for skaters of all ages. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, helping people have fun, and keeping a high-energy environment running smoothly, especially in a unique, winter-focused setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
- One to three months of related work experience or training preferred
- First Aid and CPR certification (American Heart Association) or ability to obtain within two weeks of hire
- Valid Indiana Driver's License
- Willingness and ability to learn Zamboni operation quickly
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working in a customer-facing, team-oriented environment
- Ability to sharpen rental skates
Responsibilities
- Open, close, and help secure the ice rink facility
- Assist with ice maintenance, resurfacing, and general rink preparation
- Operate or learn to operate a Zamboni and related ice maintenance equipment
- Provide friendly, professional customer service to skaters and guests
- Support admissions, skate rentals, concessions, and inventory needs
- Assists with supervision and training of staff and volunteers as needed
