About The Position
This position is responsible for assisting the supervisor with review and training of a variety of maintenance safety procedures while working in a safe manner and adhering to Tyson’s policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. This position may work in any department within Harvest or Processing at this beef processing facility.
Requirements
- Must be a Level 8 maintenance technician.
- Candidates with 6 or more attendance points and/or any suspension in the past 12 months will not be considered.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Must be able to read, write, and interpret general equipment safety procedures to ensure safety.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Performing verifications, making any updates or changes, updating the books, and making copies of the changes.
- Reviewing and auditing existing lockout/tagout forms on an annual basis.
- Working with management to update procedure forms for any new or modified plant equipment.
- Assisting supervisors in enforcing or following up on maintenance work permits.
