About The Position
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe systems.
Requirements
- Industrial Maintenance certificate/diploma/formal training required
- Must be willing to work 3rd shift.
Responsibilities
- Inspects machinery or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems and repair.
- Performs preventive maintenance on machinery/equipment as required. Records equipment maintenance data, job time, and prepares other basic information and reports as required.
- Builds, fabricates, repairs structures and/or equipment from verbal instruction, blueprints and/or working drawings.
- Tests/replaces electrical components under lockout/Tagout requirements. Based on training may also install/replace bus duct disconnects; replace lighting and change fuses in switch gear while equipment is energized or near energized parts.
- Assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
