About The Position
The Maintenance Repairman performs preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient cement plant operations. The role involves maintaining mechanical equipment and production systems in an industrial cement manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems using sound technical judgment.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance instructions, diagrams, blueprints, and equipment specifications.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining industrial tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Must pass the NCCER Millwright exam with a score of 60% or better.
- Must pass a post-offer physical examination, drug and alcohol screening, and background check.
Nice To Haves
- Industrial maintenance or Millwright experience.
- Cement industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Inspect equipment and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
- Work with operations personnel to complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
- Use maintenance systems, tools, and documentation processes to track work performed.
