Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Submission of criminal history reports (conditional offer of employment).

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks involving carpentry, painting, electrical work, masonry, and plumbing
  • Check building systems such as HVAC, alarms, generators, and automated controls
  • Maintain clean, safe, and functional interior and exterior areas
  • Use and maintain tools and machinery needed for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and grounds work
  • Assist with vendor communication and monitor contracted repair work
  • Follow safety rules and report hazards or incidents to supervisors
