About The Position
The University of Louisiana Monroe is seeking a Maintenance Repairman II to join their team and support a variety of campus maintenance functions, including work related to HVAC systems. Requirements
- Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Responsibilities
- Makes general repairs to air condition/heating systems.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance (e.g., changing filters, lubricating motors, cleaning coils, replacing belts) on split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, and package units.
- Unstops drain pans and drain lines on fan coil units.
- Repair or replace thermostats.
- Cleaning coils on chillers.
- Maintain and make general repairs to a variety of motorized equipment including tune-ups, replacement and adjustment of worn or damaged parts, starters, pumps, belts, etc.
- Document labor, materials, and findings for university system.
- Other duties as assigned
