About The Position

The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs. Pinecrest Supports & Services Center (PSSC) is seeking a skilled, dependable Maintenance Repairer 2 to perform upkeep and repairs to facility. Requirements

Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Responsibilities

Perform plumbing repairs and installations, including commodes, lavatories, water fountains, and garbage disposals.
Unstop sewer lines and drains, repair leaks, and repair/replace faucets.
Replace light bulbs, repair/replace ballasts, receptacles, switches, and fans.
Replace motors and pumps.
Repair washing machines, dryers, ice machines, and refrigerators.
Repair doors, door closers, hinges, cabinet doors, knobs, baseboards, cabinets, furniture, door stops, and windows.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on A/C units and air handlers, including cleaning coils, working on pumps to air handlers and motors, chill water valves, controls, belts, and filters.
Monitor hot water temperatures and maintain a log.
Run and service generators and maintain a log.
Inspect fire extinguishers monthly and maintain a log.
