About The Position

The Lakefront Management Authority manages, controls, regulates, operates, and maintains any non-flood protection facility or improvement asset or function within a levee district within the jurisdiction of a flood protection authority. This position involves performing landscaping and grass cutting activities at airport facilities, picking up debris and tree limbs, repairing fencing and light fixtures, ensuring day-to-day maintenance for functionality and environmental compliance, and assisting with the maintenance and repairs of over 350 airfield lights and signs. The role also includes monitoring landscaping and grass cutting activities at all facilities. This is a probational appointment and does not participate in a Career Progression Group. Requirements

• One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Responsibilities

• Performs landscaping and grass cutting activities at airport facilities as needed.
• Picks up debris and tree limbs throughout the airport.
• Repairs fencing and light fixtures on airport grounds.
• Ensures that the day-to-day maintenance required to ensure functionality and environmental compliance is performed.
• Assists with the maintenance and repairs of over 350 airfield lights and signs.
• Monitors landscaping and grass cutting activities at all facilities.
