About The Position

Oshkosh AeroTech is hiring a Maintenance Repair Technician Level 1 for Airport Services at Salt Lake City International Airport in Salt Lake City, Utah. Oshkosh AeroTech provides aviation ground support products, gate equipment, and airport services to commercial airlines, airports, air-freight carriers, ground handlers, and military customers.

The technician diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains airport baggage handling equipment and related controls, components, and systems. The role includes scheduled and emergency maintenance of equipment and facilities, responding to maintenance calls, documenting completed work, and following company safety requirements. The position operates in an airport environment, including on the ramp near aircraft and heavy equipment, and in confined baggage conveyor areas. Work may be on first or second shift, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 1–2 years of experience in maintenance operations.
• Industrial electrical experience, specifically with three-phase motors and 480V systems.
• Mechanical skills, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Intermediate understanding of PLC control systems.
• Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport.
• Ability to work first or second shift, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain airport baggage handling equipment and related controls equipment, components, and systems.
• Provide concise, accurate, and sufficiently detailed data for maintenance records.
• Perform emergency, unscheduled, and scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment and facilities.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Complete daily work logs and work order paperwork for tasks completed during the shift.
• Respond to maintenance calls when required or requested.
• Work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• Comply with the company safety program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
