Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with two years of related professional experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Ability to learn and willingness to be taught.
Good attitude in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

TN State electrical license.
Completion of electrical apprenticeship program.
Work experience in a variety of electrical and related fields.
Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings and schematics.
Experience in industrial/commercial electrical work.
Basic knowledge of electrical diagnostic equipment.
Familiarity with elevator and/or generator controls.
Knowledge of work experience involving, or certification for low voltage/data installation and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of work experience involving and/or certification for fire alarm installation and troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Telecommunication/IT installation and operation.

Responsibilities

Install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, circuit breakers, and other apparatus.
Plan new or renovated existing installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring.
Install conduit, wire, and devices such as receptacles, switches, light fixtures, and other electrical apparatus.
Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical continuity and safety of components using test instruments.
Work on electrical circuits carrying 600v or less.
Inspect and test commercial machinery control equipment and systems; following blueprints and wiring schematics.
Examine wiring for loose or faulty connections.
Repairs electrical motors, controllers, and starters.
Work with outside vendors to maintain elevators and perform periodic checks.
Work with special events and athletic personnel to ensure uninterrupted electrical service.
Operate equipment such as scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts, large trucks, trailer towing, scaffold construction and work, and any other equipment typical with electrical installation and maintenance.
Comfortable working at heights up to 125ft and knowledgeable as to how to do so safely.
