Requirements

• High School diploma
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability and flexibility to switch to shifts on occasion under certain emergency circumstances.
• Good physical health and demonstrates emotional stability
• Must be able to lift, stoop, kneel, sit, stand, bend, squat, and move with flexibility.
• Must be able to drive
• Must be able to operate lawn mowers, vacuums and floor strippers, and remove snow and sand outdoor pavement and sidewalk.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties concerned with floor care (tiles and carpeting) including but not limited to stripping, cleaning, mopping, buffing, sweeping, waxing, scrubbing, etc. within entire complex.
• Removing and disposing of all refuse, cleaning grease traps, floor drains, sumps, handling laundry drops, dispatching of linen filled carts.
• Perform light maintenance duties such as minor plumbing.
• Care for American flag.
• Performs heavy custodial duties such as moving furniture, receiving shipments, and dispatching to proper areas.
• Must remove snow by shovel or power means; apply ice melt and sand as necessary.
• Performs additional duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor.
