About The Position
The Industrial Maintenance Excellence Manager will lead maintenance activities for a unionized glass manufacturing facility, driving safety, equipment reliability, employee development, and continuous improvement. The role provides technical service and works in partnership with the Unit Plant Manager and Quality Manager to produce glass containers with continually improving quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong background in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience using CMMS systems.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to oversee, schedule, and train personnel.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience or training.
- Ability to work at various heights in a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
- Experience in a maintenance leadership position in manufacturing.
- Effective communication and people management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

- Bachelor's degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Plan preventive maintenance for equipment and schedule repairs and upgrades while maximizing plant uptime.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure the safety and quality of work performed by maintenance and production personnel.
- Provide technical service to support continuous improvement in glass-container quality.
