About The Position
The Industrial Maintenance Excellence Manager leads all maintenance activities at a unionized glass manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for advancing safety, equipment reliability, employee development, and continuous improvement. Working in partnership with the Unit Plant Manager and Quality Manager, the manager provides technical service to support the production of glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience in a maintenance leadership position in manufacturing.
- Strong background in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience using CMMS systems.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to oversee, schedule, and train personnel.
- Effective communication and people management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Ability to work at various heights in a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience or training.
Responsibilities
- Plan preventive maintenance for equipment and schedule repairs and upgrades while maximizing plant uptime.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure the safety and quality of work performed by maintenance and production personnel.
- Provide technical service to support glass-container production and continually improve quality.
