About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Maintenance Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering & Maintenance team to support the maintenance and reliability efforts across a 45-acre pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for driving equipment reliability improvements, reducing equipment downtime, and optimizing asset performance by applying engineering methodologies, data analysis, and continuous improvement strategies. The Maintenance Reliability Engineer will develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies, including preventive and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of industrial manufacturing/maintenance or reliability experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working Knowledge of Maximo, or related Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Working Knowledge of GMP and FDA Practices
  • Proficient in RCA, FMEA, RCM, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with PdM technologies (vibration, ultrasound, IR thermography).
  • Project Management Skills
  • Ability to plan all aspects of the job including timing, resources, and budgets.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive problems to resolution.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to Keep Detailed Records.
  • Attention to Detail
  • Able to analyze, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • VCat-III. CBM certifications a plus (MLA, CBM Certification a plus
  • Lean Training or Certification is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to improve equipment reliability.
  • Access machine health to predict failures utilizing predictive and condition-based techniques.
  • Develop and contribute to the preventive/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
  • Utilize root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques to strengthen equipment performance.
  • Responsible for the facilitation of continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, OEE) and identify areas for reliability improvement.
  • Update and optimize the CMMS system preventative and predictive maintenance tasks in conjunction with the maintenance planner.
  • Provide technical support, training and development for maintenance functions with specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance department.
  • Maintain maintenance plant documentation electronically and with hard files.
  • Provide technical support for weekend/off-shift coverage.
  • Participate in long-term improvement plans for advancing the department to a more reliable state.
  • Obtain outside engineering services.
  • Adhere to all Plant Safety rules and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
