About The Position

The Maintenance Porter is responsible for daily janitorial and general maintenance duties at garages and surface lots, keeping them clean, maintained, and safe. The role also involves assisting customers, addressing disputes, and communicating effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and other departments. The Porter may work across multiple facility locations and must be able to work independently.

Requirements

• Ability to operate machinery, including a golf cart.

Nice To Haves

• Parking industry experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate maintenance vehicles, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean garages and surface lots daily.
• Perform general facility maintenance, including sweeping, wiping surfaces and equipment, emptying and picking up trash, changing light bulbs, and painting.
• Assist with snow removal and winter upkeep of sidewalks and garages.
• Operate garage or floor sweepers and scrubbers as needed to keep floors clean and safe.
• Complete daily maintenance checklist duties efficiently and on time.
• Greet customers by name, respond promptly to correspondence and requests, resolve problems, and build rapport with customers.
• Provide vehicle assistance to customers in garages and surface lots.
• Assist customers through intercom systems and in lobbies, lanes, and the parking office.
• Promote customer satisfaction through a friendly demeanor, helpful attitude, and willingness to assist.
• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
