About The Position

Performs advanced preventive maintenance (PM) on a variety of production machinery, including CNC machining centers. This role also involves simple machine repair, fabrication, and welding as assigned. The position requires working with processes and systems related to HAZMAT, OSHA, and DEQ, and other regulatory bodies. Requirements

  • 2-3 years of related mechanical/technical work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use measuring equipment including inside/outside micrometers, dial indicators, and heat monitoring guns.
  • Working knowledge of computers and the ability to learn new computer programs such as CMMS (CribMaster).
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and troubleshoot problems.
  • Ability to interpret machine part books.
  • Understanding of tolerance required on production machinery.
  • Ability to fabricate repair parts for machines.
  • Must be able to fulfill the minimum qualifications of Maintenance PM Mechanic I.
  • Must either hold HazMat certification or become certified within the first year of employment.
  • All required licensures must be maintained and kept up to date.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced preventive maintenance on production machinery, including CNC machining centers.
  • Provide routine maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning, to meet performance, ergonomic, and safety standards.
  • Inspect and recommend repair or replacement of components.
  • Perform light machine repair, fabrication, and welding as assigned.
  • Train and mentor other mechanics on preventative maintenance.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement efforts and focus on permanent problem resolution.
  • Maintain maintenance records in a CMMS (Cribmaster).
  • Order preventive maintenance supplies as needed.
  • Follow and adhere to all ISO, OSHA, and DEQ requirements.
