About The Position

To plan, schedule, and coordinate the efficient and high-quality execution of facility maintenance responsibilities. Utilizes a high level of technical expertise in order to deliver the right support in the multiple areas of responsibilities to a high performing manufacturing team.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, Tech or trade school degree or 8 years’ experience in the facility services industry or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exposure to field service and/or maintenance industry.
  • Experience on Maintenance purchasing, and project management required.
  • Maintains high level of understanding of technical product and process knowledge.
  • Must be a self-starter with demonstrated leadership/supervision experience skills.
  • Must have effective planning, organizational, decision making skills and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Possesses and advanced understanding of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and building management system (BMS) tools and techniques.
  • Performs tasks requiring advanced proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Must have in-depth working knowledge and experience in preventative and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision, owns the process of purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures.
  • Schedules repairs, renovations projects, waste reduction improvements, and safety inspections.
  • Participates in purchasing activities with manufacturing and maintenance departments to maintain inventory.
  • Responsible for identifying and proposing preventive maintenance activities based on established procedures for all facilities and production systems.
  • Attend and actively participate in manufacturing meetings in order to proactively understand the team’s priorities, and concerns as well as identify opportunities for improvement in the facilities maintenance department.
  • Monitors work in progress. Ensures work orders are kept in proper status and that all charges are properly posted and closes work orders when complete.
  • May authorize the payment of invoices or return of merchandise.
  • Coordination & scheduling of multiple system / equipment repairs and maintenance work orders for the facility.
  • Help develop preventative and predictive maintenance plans for the facility.
  • Works closely with plant management to maximize maintenance schedule attainment.
  • Maintain records and updates on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database to reflects facility conditions. This includes adjusting tasking and schedules to ensure maintenance optimization.
  • Monitors maintenance system transactions for accuracy and works with leaders to correct discrepancies and eliminate the fundamental causes of the problems.
  • Coordinates material delivery with inventory to support maintenance schedule. May examine material delivered to production to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Collects and assembles key performance indicators for Facilities Department.
  • Maintains inventory records and requisitions as necessary to ensure maintenance schedules are met.
  • Liaise with Supply chain department to provide recommendations on supplier selection.
  • Expedites maintenance operations that delay schedules and alters schedule to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Manage consumables for the facility.
  • May work any and all shifts/days as required.
  • Identifies and implements improvements to the maintenance processes on site.
  • Work with maintenance group and vendors to ensure necessary parts are on hand while minimizing overall inventory value.
  • Help develop and maintain procedures for parts and work orders and ensure the plant compliance with required protocols.
  • Identifies and implements improvements to the maintenance processes on site.
  • Experience in managing the parts inventory system. This includes entering or supervising the entry of all parts transactions such as purchase orders, issues, returns, and inventory adjustments.
