The Maintenance Planner will coordinate and prioritize work orders, staffing, parts availability, and maintenance strategies to drive continuous improvement in the operation and maintenance systems. The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Department Manager, and has responsibility for all maintenance work, cost, downtime, and documentation. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for scheduling preventive and regular maintenance with minimal interruption to production operations. They will handle long- and short-range planning, develop planned work for the Weekly Work Schedule and the Planned PM Work Schedule. This role involves investigating maintenance-related problems, analyzing root causes and driving resolutions, estimating labor hours, and assisting Craft with scoping work. The planner will coordinate and prioritize work orders, staff, parts availability, and maintenance strategies to drive continuous improvement, track maintenance measures, and build appropriate gap plans. Responsibilities also include maintaining and updating technical records in the CMMS (SAP) and other relevant documentation systems, planning and scheduling maintenance activities for the entire facility, and working with the plant purchasing specialist to ensure necessary parts are ordered, kitted, and available. The role also involves identifying faulty equipment through observation and testing, preparing daily maintenance reports, and utilizing measuring instruments.
