About The Position

Hampel Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their Maintenance team. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance work, managing the Maintenance/MRO storeroom inventory, and purchasing parts and supplies needed to support equipment uptime. This position serves as a central point of coordination between Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing, and suppliers. The Planner will manage work orders and maintenance schedules in FIIX, ensure parts and materials are available and ready for scheduled work, maintain accurate inventory and ERP data, and coordinate equipment downtime with Operations. This position plays an important role in maximizing technician productivity, minimizing equipment downtime, and maintaining accurate maintenance and inventory records.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical/trade certification, or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment preferred.
• Experience as a Maintenance Technician and/or in MRO purchasing is highly valued.
• Certified Maintenance Planner or Certificate in Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (CMPS) preferred.
• Experience using a CMMS; FIIX experience preferred.
• Experience using an ERP system; DelmiaWorks IQMS experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of industrial/mechanical maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
• Strong inventory management and data accuracy skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review, prioritize, plan, and schedule maintenance work orders in FIIX.
• Develop and publish weekly maintenance schedules, balancing preventive maintenance, corrective work, and projects.
• Coordinate maintenance downtime and scheduling with Operations to minimize production impact.
• Ensure maintenance jobs are fully planned and “parts-ready” before being scheduled.
• Kit and stage parts, materials, tools, and documentation required for planned work.
• Manage the Maintenance/MRO storeroom, including receiving, stocking, issuing, and organizing parts and supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, complete cycle counts, and establish appropriate stocking levels and reorder points.
• Identify and maintain critical spare parts to support equipment uptime.
• Create and manage purchase orders for maintenance parts, components, and supplies.
• Monitor supplier deliveries, pricing, quality, and performance; expedite materials as needed.
• Review MRP requirements and component needs in DelmiaWorks IQMS.
• Maintain accurate FIIX records, including assets, bills of material, PM schedules, parts catalogs, and work orders.
• Monitor preventive maintenance compliance and generate maintenance and inventory reports/KPIs.
• Train and support Maintenance employees in FIIX processes and workflows.
• Work with the Data Analyst and Warehouse team to coordinate and complete required cycle counts.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with all department employees and suppliers.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
