About The Position

The Maintenance Planner will plan and schedule available resources and materials for maintenance activities associated with preventative and corrective maintenance in the most effective and efficient way. This role involves developing detailed work scopes and setting up forecasts for resource allocation to ensure preventative and corrective work activities are completed in conjunction with manufacturing operations activities. The planner is responsible for overseeing work order activity compliance with regulatory requirements (i.e. FDA, DEA, OSHA). This position aims to improve workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, material, tools, equipment, permits, specialized documentation, and equipment access. The role also includes compiling and maintaining the master PM schedule to establish a sequence and lead time of each operation to meet scheduling dates according to production forecast or machine-specific needs, and ensuring accurate coordination between various maintenance groups and facility supervisors/managers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance planning.
  • Previous experience working within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, Food and Beverage, and Healthcare Industries with a thorough working knowledge of cGMPs.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software; MAXIMO is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of work management processes, labor estimating, resource balancing, etc.
  • Good working knowledge of facilities equipment and O&M requirements.
  • Strong understanding of proper OSHA safety practices and procedures.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Technical writing ability.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of the purchase order system and requisition procedures.
  • Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or equivalent from 2-year college technical school preferred.
  • In lieu of degree, Technical College diploma with 10+ years of experience required or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
