About The Position

The Maintenance Planner plans basic routine maintenance on plant assets and equipment in accordance with established program guidelines. The role develops detailed job plans to improve workforce efficiency and work quality by identifying the elements of executable work packages. It applies general knowledge of consistent maintenance and reliability best practices to plan and prioritize basic tasks and provide quality work that supports organizational goals. This position is based at Cargill’s Fort Morgan, Colorado location. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Relocation assistance is not provided. The expected pay range is $30–$32 per hour, with compensation varying based on factors including location, certifications, education, and experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Research and compile information and feedback needed to create effective, detailed job plans.
Initiate procurement of materials, special tools, and unique items required for job plans using relevant maintenance programs and database tools.
Prepare job plans for general maintenance activities, schedule downtime, and work with more senior team members to identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce lost production.
Maintain custom databases supporting specific work projects and processes.
Plan basic repair procedures and tasks to ensure compliance with plant maintenance procedures and practices.
Review completed work orders for completeness and accuracy, and update machinery history data in the tracking system as needed.
Provide reports to keep maintenance leaders informed about work progress and future work schedules.
Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision and escalate more complex issues to appropriate staff.
