The Maintenance Planner’s goal is to improve workforce productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays. This role will do this by planning, parts and materials, and equipment access. The Maintenance Planner will know the tasks well enough to describe what needs to be done and estimate the required number of labor hours. Some other specific goals for maintenance planners include the following. Create new and manage existing preventive maintenance tasks Ensure critical equipment bill of materials is up to date and necessary items are on hand Ensuring maintenance activities interfere as minimally as possible with operations and production activities Manage spare parts inventory by cataloging items and creating proper bin locations
