This role is vital to the maintenance team, focusing on developing and managing maintenance schedules for various tasks including down days, outages, and routine maintenance. The position involves coordinating predictive and preventive maintenance activities, and planning/coordinating maintenance jobs and projects in collaboration with production and maintenance teams. Key responsibilities include monitoring SAP and CMMS systems for accurate tracking of work orders, technician workload, and equipment trends, as well as managing spare parts, including kit building, warehousing, and satellite storage. The role also entails requisitioning materials, advising inventory control, and maintaining equipment information and repair files. Additionally, the Maintenance Planner & Scheduler is responsible for maintaining CMMS documentation, generating and analyzing reports, reviewing daily equipment inspections, and serving as a technical resource for maintenance supervisors. This position may also involve assisting in hiring, counseling, disciplining, and terminating employees, supporting the development of reliability-based maintenance strategies, assisting in workload and schedule planning for technicians, coordinating with external contractors, inspecting contractor work, and interacting with vendors. The role also includes maintaining the maintenance budget, tracking expenditures, ensuring 5S compliance, environmental/safety recordkeeping, and participating in safety, health, and environmental programs.
