About The Position

The Maintenance Planner Scheduler will be responsible for planning and prioritizing work requests into work orders, coordinating with supervisors and leads to determine accurate estimates for various maintenance activities. This role involves close collaboration with Operations, Production Scheduling, and Maintenance personnel to ensure the continuous and optimal operation of facilities and equipment with minimal production downtime. The position will also assist in developing and implementing maintenance programs, collecting technical data, and managing KPIs for reporting analysis. A key aspect of the role is leading global maintenance teams in the development and optimization of Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronic, PLC’s, mechanical equipment, refrigeration systems, boilers, and facilities.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts (discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prioritize work requests into work orders and coordinate with Supervisors/Leads to determine accurate estimates of time for Operation/Facility Techs, Equipment, Tool Usage, PIP, Capital/Non-Capital Projects, Preventative Maintenance (PM), Contractor/Outside Services, and Preflight.
  • Work closely with Operations, Production Scheduling, and Maintenance personnel to coordinate routine and non-routine maintenance activities to ensure the continuous, optimal operation of facilities and equipment with minimal production downtime.
  • Help translate department maintenance procedures into effective maintenance schedules integrated with production runs, shutdown activities, and resource availability.
  • Assist the Maintenance department in developing and implementing maintenance programs including PM, Predictive Maintenance, and Spare Parts Inventory Control through Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (EAM).
  • Collect and organize technical data from Maintenance personnel, equipment manufacturers, equipment users, contractors, and engineering personnel to aid supervisors in the execution of maintenance activities.
  • Assist in developing department maintenance of SOPs and the translation of such SOPs into effective maintenance schedules.
  • Provide routine reports of facilities and maintenance related information to management.
  • Manage the KPI’s for reporting analysis.
  • Lead Global Maintenance teams on the development and optimization of PMs.
  • Determine scope of requirements on non-capital projects.
