Maintenance Planner – Williamsport As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a vital role in driving operational excellence by ensuring maintenance activities are strategically planned, efficiently scheduled, and executed safely. You will contribute to the success of the site by collaborating closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to maximize equipment uptime, optimize workforce productivity, and minimize total maintenance costs. Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • 2-year Associate degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of planning and scheduling experience preferred
  • 5 years of trade or industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance experience
  • Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance processes (PM, predictive maintenance, work order management)
  • Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
  • Understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards, including Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Technical background in mechanical, electrical, or engineering discipline preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, schedule, and coordinate preventive, predictive, and planned maintenance activities to maximize workforce efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Manage daily scheduling and resource allocation, including labor, materials, repair parts, and external contractors
  • Develop detailed job plans, identifying required parts, materials, skills, and safety considerations to ensure safe and effective execution
  • Lead daily maintenance planning meetings and communicate schedule changes driven by emergent or break-in work
  • Manage and prioritize maintenance work order backlog, coordinating with Production and site leadership to align priorities and downtime schedules
  • Ensure Planned Maintenance (PM) and Work Orders (WO) are executed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
  • Administer CMMS systems to maintain accurate equipment data, documentation, and maintenance records
  • Identify and manage critical spare parts inventory levels and oversee storeroom coordination
  • Plan and coordinate annual outage work, ensuring all activities are efficiently executed and aligned with site goals
