About The Position

CJ Schwan’s is hiring a Maintenance Planner Scheduler for its French bread pizza plants in Erie and North East, Pennsylvania, and Westfield, New York. The role plans and schedules modifications to existing equipment and facilities, as well as preventive maintenance in assigned areas. It coordinates maintenance work, prepares and maintains work orders and machinery records, and schedules safety checks to help meet OSHA requirements.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in a specialized trade or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of related experience.
• Strong collaboration and verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Intermediate mechanical, electrical, and automation aptitude.

Nice To Haves

• SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize maintenance work, assess work-order feasibility, and obtain approval to proceed.
• Obtain blueprints and/or electrical schematics for review.
• Organize necessary parts and tooling, verify equipment availability, and use kitting to improve maintenance effectiveness.
• Estimate maintenance labor hours and allocate materials to work orders.
• Coordinate work and follow up with the originating department.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and maintain work-order documentation for plant machinery and surrounding areas, including parts history and accurate records of completed work.
• Establish preventive-maintenance schedules, schedule maintenance for machinery, and recommend equipment changes.
• Maintain scheduling documentation, including completion dates, time (including p.m. and emergency hours), and project costs.
• Schedule safety checks of micro switches and emergency stops, and maintain records to meet OSHA requirements.
• Maintain machinery history files, including labor-hour and parts costs.
