Maintenance Personnel
About The Position
Morrow Realty Company is currently seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician in the Butler, AL area. The technician will be responsible for the physical maintenance and general repair of the exterior and interior of buildings, systems, and fixtures within the property. This includes handling heating and AC maintenance, general carpentry, electrical systems, repairing windows, tiles, floors, walls, and doors. The role also involves working with the Site Manager to ensure vacant apartments are made ready for occupancy, painting apartments, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems, and maintaining the daily appearance and upkeep of the grounds. The technician will also maintain lawn mowers and other lawn equipment, assist with a preventive maintenance program, organize the maintenance shop and equipment, and ensure equipment is properly inventoried and accounted for in good operating condition. The position requires being "on-call" for emergency weekend service calls when necessary.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license
- Dependable transportation
- General knowledge of plumbing
- General knowledge of electricity
- General knowledge of grounds work

- CPO certification

Responsibilities
- Comply with Company rules and regulations.
- Adhere to instructions from the Site Manager and designated Maintenance Coordinator.
- Be responsible for the physical maintenance and general repair of the exterior and interior of buildings, systems, and fixtures.
- Handle heating and AC maintenance.
- Perform general carpentry.
- Maintain electrical systems.
- Repair windows, tiles, floors, walls, and doors.
- Work with the Site Manager to ensure vacant apartments are made ready for occupancy in a timely manner.
- Paint apartments as scheduled.
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems.
- Maintain the daily appearance and upkeep of the grounds.
- Maintain proper operation and servicing of lawn mowers and other lawn equipment.
- Assist the Site Manager with the implementation and continuation of a preventive maintenance program.
- Organize maintenance shop and equipment.
- Ensure equipment is properly inventoried and accounted for in good operating condition.
- Remain “on-call” for emergency weekend service calls when necessary.
