Responsible for maintaining the building and grounds of the hotel. This includes ensuring the proper operation of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, laundry, kitchen, refrigeration, and lighting systems, as well as specialized equipment. The role also involves property upkeep and ensuring compliance with city, state, and federal codes. The position requires assuming full responsibility for the condition of the hotel's infrastructure and public areas, understanding and implementing fire alarm and emergency evacuation procedures, and developing preventive maintenance programs. Additionally, the role involves continuous updates to the safety manual, training for the entire company on OSHA regulations, DOT testing, Right to Know Law, and NFPA training, as well as loss prevention and security. The Maintenance Person may also be required to assist other departments.
