Requirements

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a production line mechanic, facilities mechanic or parts /purchasing /storeroom technician.
Ability to comprehend machine manuals and drawings with a clear interpretation of their meaning.
Good general shop knowledge.
Proficient knowledge of parts and materials as well as their nomenclature.
Good math skills.
Ability to compose reports to effectively communicate results /conclusions.
Proficient in MS office Suite applications, strong emphasis on Word and Excel.
Demonstrate effective organizational skills to handle multi-tasking.
Communicate clearly to production team, support staff, supervision, maintenance department and vendors, both verbally and written to maintain high service levels.
Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

Create and issue purchase orders for indirect goods and services, ensuring accuracy in requisitions, pricing, terms, and conditions.
Verify incoming shipments against invoices and packing lists to ensure accuracy and project delivery dates expected on orders over $1,500.
Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and support groups on order quantities and deliveries.
Maintain records of departmental commitments and provide monthly spend reports.
Resolve invoice issues, validate deliveries, and close purchase orders upon completion.
Order and receive parts and supplies, monitor inventory levels, and address discrepancies.
Review taxable status of purchases and ensure compliance with state tax laws.
Manage and track spend against blanket orders, reporting to department managers and Finance.
Coordinate service work with vendors, ensuring safety concerns are addressed.
Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
Develop spreadsheets for communication and reporting purposes.
Identify, prioritize, and address problems using appropriate tools and techniques.
Regularly interact with maintenance technicians and third-party vendors.
