About The Position

The Parts Room Attendant will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing parts to maintenance technicians and maintaining stock items and inventory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift, pack, and shelve parts
  • Fork truck experience
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in business/inventory management, or other related field of study
  • APICS or other inventory management certification
  • Computer training or experience with inventory management software

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and cleaning the parts room
  • Issuing parts and specialized tools to maintenance technicians
  • Ensuring all parts and tools are properly labeled and stored in designated location
  • Assist maintenance supervisor/superintendent in sourcing parts
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks
  • Operate fork truck or pallet jack as needed
  • Comply with company quality and safety guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
