About The Position

BS is seeking an hourly Maintenance Part Inventory Clerk for the 1st Shift. This role is responsible for managing the inventory of machine parts for production, tracking maintenance job plans, documenting and monitoring Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks, and ensuring the availability of necessary parts, materials, and tools. The clerk will work closely with the maintenance team to support plant reliability and mechanical integrity programs, track performance metrics, and assist in planning major plant turnarounds and equipment overhauls. Additional hours may be required to support annual turnarounds.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English Language
  • Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays if needed
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
  • Change agent skills must motivate and inspire others to see the company mission and vision
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization, from the floor to the executive leadership team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to type 35wpm and data entry
  • Ability to learn computerized inventory systems
  • Ability to understand facility terminology when needed to issue or order parts
  • 1 Year Maintenance Background preferred
  • Strong Problem-Solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and stocking machine parts for production in correct locations.
  • Tracking all PM-based job plans and managing the PM backlog.
  • Documenting all PMs and monitoring them through completion.
  • Ensuring parts, materials, and tools are appropriately requisitioned and available to complete planned jobs.
  • Working with the Manager of Maintenance, Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance team to support plant reliability and mechanical integrity programs.
  • Tracking and reporting on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability.
  • Assisting with planning/scheduling efforts for major plant turnarounds and equipment overhauls.
  • Working additional hours to support annual turnarounds.
  • Performing accurate cycle counts to maintain correct inventory levels.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
