About The Position

The parts coordinator maintains the storeroom functions as it pertains to purchasing, receiving, issuing, and creating spare parts within the physical storeroom and E-Maint CMMS. The coordinator is also responsible for maintaining all parts inventory and cycle counting within the storeroom. This is a Monday-Friday 10am-6:30pm position.

Requirements

2 years of experience working with parts in the manufacturing industry
Strong analytical, communication and people skills
Negotiation and project management skills needed
Basic understanding of purchasing functions from issuing request for quotation through placement and execution of purchase orders with vendors
General understanding and ability to read engineering drawings.
Good organization skills and ability to multi-task
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Assist the Maintenance Department with the supply of customer requests for spare parts from receipt of customer inquiry through the sub-supplier’s completion of material manufacturing and delivery.
Assist with obtaining quotes for materials from suppliers in accordance with the SPR Approved Vendors List.
Review quotes, select or recommend suppliers with whom orders are to be placed based upon cost and time requirements.
Liaison with all departments for technical and procurement support to ensure understanding and supply of customers request for spare parts.
Respond promptly to any queries arising from the customer or sub-supplier.
Assist in maintaining and issuance of monthly Spare Part Status Reports.
Full management of parts; ordering, receiving, and maintaining inventory
Ordering safety supplies, tools, and other MRO purchases
Managing purchase orders, credit card statements and resolving invoice discrepancies
Collaborating with vendors to ensure orders are received and delivered in a timely manner.
Working with AP for new vendor set ups.
Building relationships with vendors and suppliers to support the needs of the plant.
Ensuring and Maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory requirements SDS
Completing other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager
