About The Position

The Maintenance Operator plays a critical role in maintaining conveyor belts and pneumatic systems and performing operations such as scale house, silo loader, and railcar movements at the terminal. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with proficiency in basic math and computer systems
  • Commitment to upholding Twin Eagle’s safety culture, including participation in safety training programs and safe handling of hazardous materials
  • Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision
  • Able to complete all required paperwork legibly, accurately, and on time
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with team members and third-party personnel

Nice To Haves

  • Two to three years of hands-on experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist with preventative maintenance of conveyor belts and pneumatic systems
  • Inspect, service, grease, and lubricate equipment; change oils on scheduled basis
  • Identify and document equipment defects and performance deficiencies; complete inspection sheets and work orders to track parts usage
  • Utilize FIXX MMS system to maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records
  • Assist with rail car moving and other terminal operations as needed
  • General Housekeeping (i.e. sweep, mop, dust, clean restroom, and take out trash)
  • Answer Phones
  • Communicate with drivers via CB radio
  • Data Entry from scaled truck weight
  • Load sand trucks using the via automation system
  • Communicate with other employees via radios system
  • Obtain driver signature on paperwork and place in appropriate files.
  • Operate loader to load sand into hopper and inside warehouse
  • Must be alert and aware of surrounding (ie. turning head looking out all windows and verifying the direction being travelled)
  • Control sand inventory in silos by communicating with the scale house.
  • Check to ensure that contamination of sand props is minimized.
  • Open and close pit doors
  • Verify with Engineers that all switches line up before moving.
  • Communicate with Engineers via Radio
  • Count cars and help perform all switches
  • Check all cars to understand to know where to make the separations
  • Lace hoses when coupling and pull pin releases when uncoupling
  • Set hand brakes by climbing up a 2-step ladder and turn the brake wheel
  • Use pneumatic opener to open and close cars.
  • Record the information from railcar on list “car number “
  • Once a hopper, is empty spot the next hopper while communicating to engineer
