About The Position

Mill Creek Truss, a Mill Creek Company, is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. As we continue to expand our operations, we are adding a Maintenance Technician to our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, consistent, and reliable operation of company equipment. This role performs hands-on maintenance and repairs while supporting preventative maintenance programs, safety compliance, and operational continuity.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in facilities, industrial, warehouse, or commercial environments.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience leading or supervising maintenance or facilities staff.
Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, or large maintenance projects.
Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
OSHA certification or safety training (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and/or repair facility equipment to resolve all issues.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and operational risks.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inspections.
Coordinate with vendors and management regarding quotes/bids of large projects and or repair work.
Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and safely stored.
Respond to urgent maintenance issues and after-hours emergencies as needed.
Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies.
Proactively identify and address safety hazards within facilities and work areas.
Support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility operations.
Assist with safety inspections, audits, and corrective action plans.
