Could you be the full-time Maintenance Technician at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) we’re looking for? Your future role Compensation: $45.94 per hour Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical and electrical maintenance expertise in a cutting-edge transit environment. You’ll work alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates who are committed to keeping our fleet, stations, and infrastructure operating safely and reliably. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the availability, performance, and safety of train cars, station systems, and wayside equipment that support daily passenger operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams, performing inspections, troubleshooting complex issues, and delivering corrective and preventive maintenance activities. You’ll specifically take care of vehicle systems, station equipment, and wayside infrastructure, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability and reduce downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience or understanding of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, and diagnostic equipment
  • Familiarity with reading technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and parts breakdowns
  • Ability to accurately document maintenance activities using written or computerized systems
  • Valid Class C driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with AC/DC power systems, PLCs, relay logic, or industrial control systems is considered an asset
  • Experience with rail, transit, manufacturing, transportation, HVAC, machining, or similar industrial environments is beneficial
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning
