About The Position

Reinhart Landscaping & Snow is seeking a Maintenance Operations Manager to ensure properties across central Illinois are well-maintained year-round. This role is crucial for ensuring equipment, crews, and sites are ready for operation, embodying the Reinhart name with every property visit. The ideal candidate treats 'good enough' as unacceptable and strives for excellence.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and understanding of P&L statements.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Physical activities such as walking, sitting, kneeling, shoveling, raking, bending, light equipment operation, and lifting/carrying over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team to deliver Maintenance and Snow services.
  • Maintain full staffing levels by effectively communicating needs with employees, managers, and recruiting staff.
  • Ensure team adherence to uniform and safety protocols, including equipment training requirements.
  • Oversee a variety of services for the Peoria Branch, including mowing, fertilizing, mulching, weed control, and snow operations during winter.
  • Manage all aspects of snow operations, including equipment use, repairs, staffing, fuel, and salt supplies, achieving full operational readiness within 24 hours of a snow event's conclusion.
  • Manage contracts to achieve or exceed bid gross margin percentages.
  • Monitor labor, subcontractor, and material costs to ensure they remain within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors for orders and track invoices and expenses in compliance with company procedures.
  • Achieve proficiency in company business management software.
  • Collaborate with the Branch/Account Manager to meet financial targets, including sales, revenue, renewals, payroll, and profit goals.
  • Communicate effectively with the customer and manager via reports, paperwork, and electronic correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records for all equipment, coordinating fleet maintenance with Reinhart mechanics during both green and white seasons.
  • Regularly service and maintain your assigned company vehicle.
  • Respond promptly to customer communications during snow season events, ensuring a response time of under five minutes (this responsibility can be delegated).
  • Oversee subcontractor work and efficiently schedule employees to provide exceptional service.
  • Obtain and maintain pesticide applicator licenses within six months of employment.
  • Become a Certified Snow Professional (CSP) within 12 months of employment.
  • Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within 12 months, with expenses covered by Reinhart.
