Requirements

Installation, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment.
Maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds.
Equipment setup.
Preparation and maintenance of records (work orders, purchase orders, inventory records, computer database inputs).
Maintaining a clean and orderly work area following 5S principles.
Support of 5S Lean practices.
Troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
Creation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic circuits.
Maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLC programs and associated equipment.
Providing suggestions during incident investigations.
Assisting in maintaining spare parts lists and working with internal suppliers.
Reading technical manuals.
Disassembling machinery and equipment.
Repairing or replacing broken or malfunctioning components.
Performing tests and running initial batches to ensure smooth machine operation.
Detecting minor problems through basic diagnostic tests.
Testing malfunctioning machinery for major repair needs.
Adjusting and calibrating equipment and machinery.
Cleaning and lubricating equipment or machinery.
Moving machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all plant equipment and for performing the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds.
Set up equipment as needed in their area(s).
Responsible for preparing and maintaining all records associated with the work performed, including work orders, purchase orders, inventory records and all associated computer database inputs.
Responsible for keeping their work area clean and orderly at all times following the 5S principles.
Support 5S Lean practices: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Create, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic circuits.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC programs and associated equipment.
Provide suggestions during incident investigations.
Help maintain spare parts list and work with internal supplier to manage list.
Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem.
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
Perform tests and run initial batches to make sure that the machine is running smoothly.
Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests.
Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed.
Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery.
Move machinery and equipment.
