About The Position

The Oiler will lubricate and replenish oil to the molding machinery and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tools.

Requirements

  • At least six months of related experience with production machinery, whether acquired in-company or elsewhere, highly preferred.
  • Dependable and motivated with a good work history, accepts responsibility for work performed.
  • Ability and willingness to wear, hearing protection, respirators, face shields, and additional personal protective equipment.
  • Has good organizational and communication skills.
  • Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, climbing, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving (up to 50 pounds).
  • Must be able to work from elevated platforms and ladder lifts.
  • Must have 20/20 vision with correction, and be able to differentiate color, to detect defects.
  • Must be able to work around grease, oils, and solvents without adverse reaction.
  • Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.

Responsibilities

  • Lubricates moving parts of all molding machines and robot equipment throughout the molding floor.
  • Changes oil in machines, reservoirs, cleans and replaces oil filters.
  • Insure appropriate levels of spare parts for repair of lubrication systems; equipment upgrades, and takes weekly inventory.
  • Ensures that automatic lubrication equipment operates correctly, replacing empty drums or malfunctioning lines.
  • Fills oil and automatic dispensers daily on molding machines.
  • Identifies machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
  • Identifies what type of repairs are required during preventive maintenance; performs the maintenance, report any need for additional maintenance or repairs to Supervisor.
  • Completes logs, reports, and other documentation related to the installation, replacement, modification, and or changing of lubrication parts.
  • Removes oil and grease from machinery, tools, and the production floor.
  • Complies with applicable federal, state, and company laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding health, safety, and environmental protection.
  • Organizes used oil and water for removal, changes filters 3 times a week, checks oil removal system daily.
