For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.com POSITION SCOPE The OTR Oiler is responsible for performing oiling and preventative maintenance on a variety of construction equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This position plays a critical role in maintaining equipment uptime by supporting daily service needs and identifying potential maintenance issues. Position requires occasional travel.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • MSHA 5000-23 certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience oiling and servicing heavy construction equipment (e.g., belly dumps, dump trucks, water trucks, volumetric trucks)
  • Valid DOT medical card required
  • Clean driving record required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members and supervisors

Responsibilities

  • Perform oiling, lubrication, and preventative maintenance on heavy truck and OTR equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Check, maintain, and service all fluid levels including engine oil, hydraulic systems, and coolant; identify leaks, seal failures, and other maintenance issues
  • Grease all fittings and components, replace filters, and complete scheduled oil changes and drivetrain services
  • Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and mechanical deficiencies; report findings and recommend corrective actions
  • Complete and document all work orders, daily service reports, and maintenance activities accurately
  • Operate and maintain lube truck to ensure peak performance and compliance with safety and environmental standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of oil storage containers, waste oil containers, and service equipment in accordance with environmental guidelines
  • Read and follow lubrication charts, service schedules, and manufacturer maintenance procedures
  • Utilize hand tools and basic mechanical equipment to perform maintenance tasks safely and efficiently
  • Monitor and manage inventory of oil, grease, filters, and related supplies, including tracking usage and ordering materials
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and maintain awareness of workplace hazards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment always
