About The Position

Turner Industries is a fully diversified industrial contractor that provides responsive, innovative solutions to increase plant production, reduce costs, and prevent shutdowns in industries such as petrochemical, refining, energy, and pulp and paper. The company is seeking a Journeyman Millwright for maintenance work at a facility in Pasadena, TX. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Supervisor and performs routine duties within established policies. The position requires availability for overtime and call-outs, with a 5/8's work schedule that is subject to change. NCCER Plus certification is highly preferred. Previous experience as a Maintenance Millwright with a minimum of 5 years is required, including experience with centrifugal pumps, troubleshooting, rebuilding, seal changes, and pump motor alignment. The role involves leading the repair and replacement of large complex rotating equipment. A background check and drug test are required, and candidates must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC card. Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Millwright.
Experience working with centrifugal pumps, troubleshooting, rebuilding, seal changes, and pump motor alignment.
Overall ability to lead the job in repair and replacement of large complex rotating equipment.
Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

Installs and/or maintains machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments.
Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Dismantles machines.
Moves machinery and equipment.
Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers.
Aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method.
Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
May operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
May repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
May be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates.
Removes plant equipment, disassembles, repairs and reinstalls.
