About The Position

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Intern to join our team for the Summer 2025! The ideal candidate will be a sophomore (or higher) student with a strong understanding of Maintenance principles and processes. This role involves assisting Methods and Reliability Maintenance Teams with preventative maintenance tasks, learning basic troubleshooting, supporting minor repairs, maintaining accurate records, researching technical information and safety procedures, assisting with inventory organization, and adhering to all safety regulations. The intern will demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

Student working towards a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably focused on mechanical engineering or other related Engineering field.
Candidates preferred to have completed their second year of engineering studies and entering Junior or Senior year.
High problem-solving skills and self-direction.
Ability to work in a team or individual contributor.
Technical hands-on experience with Microsoft Office products.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with manufacturing and/or plastic injection molding.
Mechanical aptitude for machines and tools.
MS and Power Bi experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist Methods and Reliability Maintenance Teams with preventative maintenance tasks, including PM task steps, spare parts, and manuals/drawing organization.
Learn and understand basic troubleshooting procedures for various equipment by shadowing experienced technicians and observing equipment operation.
Support with minor repairs under the guidance of experienced engineers & technicians, such as replacing parts and assisting with equipment disassembly/reassembly.
Maintain accurate records on assigned tasks and completed repairs, logging tasks, recording observations, and updating maintenance documentation.
Research technical information and safety procedures by studying technical manuals and online resources.
Assist with maintenance inventory organization and management, including organizing tools and supplies, preparing materials, and maintaining inventory records.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including proper PPE guidelines and safe work habits.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
