About The Position

HALCON Furniture, located in Stewartville, MN, manufactures award-winning, modern office furniture of the highest quality. To meet increased demand for our innovative products, we are currently seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance / Mechatronics Lead to join our growing company. This multi-craft role supports the ongoing operations of our manufacturing facility by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems and controls, while providing technical expertise. In addition, this position will provide oversight and direction to the 2nd shift maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance and supervisory experience, with a focus on optimizing equipment reliability and safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to work standing a majority of the shift, with frequent bending and twisting, and frequently carrying 35-55 lbs.
  • Able to occasionally lift 35 lbs. from floor to waist; 50 lbs. from waist to shoulders; push/pull up to 15 lbs.; and grasp with moderate force.
  • May be required to work at heights greater than 20 ft. (from lifts, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and willing to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Technical certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with proficiency.
  • Must be able to perform electrical/mechanical Preventative Maintenance (PVM) on all facility equipment.
  • Provide leadership support and direction to 2nd shift maintenance team.
  • Ensure the grounds, buildings, and equipment held responsible for are continually maintained to optimize appearance, function, and safety
  • Diagnose and repair ductwork, plumbing, and minor facility electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Able to use a PLC to troubleshoot machine issues and improve machine performance/modifying machine logic.
  • May be required to use precise measuring tools (e.g. calipers, linear measuring machine, fixtures, etc.) to ensure parts are within quality specifications.
  • Able to visually inspect for defects.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and HALCON safety standards.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and repairs are properly documented and meet internal controls for asset management.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
